What's in a Name?
A name carries more than letters. It holds identity, intention, and, if chosen carefully, a story.
When I decided to share my art with the world, I wanted the name to do exactly that. I wanted it to reflect not only what I create, but why I create it.
Audacia Vera.
Audacia means courage, boldness, and daring.
It is also a nod to the word audacious, which is exactly what I hope my work embodies. There is courage in creating something deeply personal and allowing others to see it. There is boldness in choosing to wear a statement piece that refuses to disappear into the background. And there is daring in embracing what makes you different rather than trying to blend in.
This idea became the foundation for my philosophy:
Made to stand out. Worn to stand apart.
Every piece I create is designed with the belief that jewelry can be more than an accessory. It can be an expression of individuality, a reflection of personality, and a reminder that standing apart is not something to hide. It is something to celebrate.
Vera means true, genuine, and authentic.
Authenticity is a value I hold above almost everything else. To be true to yourself is not always the easiest path, but it is the only one that feels right. My work reflects that belief. I don't create pieces designed to disappear into the crowd. They are created for those who recognize the beauty in being unmistakably themselves.
There is a line from Shakespeare that has stayed with me for years: "To thine own self be true." Authenticity has a way of finding its audience.
If someone were to look at one of my pieces and say, "That is truly audacious. Absolutely absurd," I would consider that a compliment.
Because people remember the unexpected.
They remember what made them stop.
They remember what made them feel something.
Very few people remember what was merely safe.
Audacia Vera is more than the name of my studio. It is a philosophy: the courage to create, the authenticity to remain true, and the confidence to stand apart.
